This real couple are demonstrating a quaich, which is a Celtic tradition, also known as #alovingcup #quaich. Traditionally, this is filled with Whiskey, but for this Western themed wedding, it is full of Bourbon! We did several takes of this photo, I think it was our lovely models who instigated that, and emptied the cup!

Update on yesterday`s rain soaked handfasting.
🌧 plan B worked brilliantly. The tarpaulin created an almost cathedral-like atmosphere.
🌈 having two mistresses-of-ceremony meant that I got to sit back and enjoy the speeches, which was a lovely way to end my time with this wonderful couple.
🌤 the sun came out in time for the ceilidh, as I hugged them both goodbye. 😁
This fully pagan ceremony was rooted in nature and their love of this land, loved by their family for generations. The spirit of the land and all who dwell there was at the heart of the ceremony and a welcome presence within the sacred circle.🌿🌳🍃

What a view from my office today! As I prepare for a magical handfasting on Saturday, I have been staying near Whitstable for a few days. Today I have written a celebration of life ceremony for a wonderful.and much loved young man. Gazing out over the view has helped when my eyes felt watery. It is so lovely when people take the time to write to me after a funeral. They are grieving, so it is all the more moving that they feel they want to thank me.
